so we had a pretty full schedule today. dropped off laundry then took the publico, aimee to the interior stuff store and me to the home depot. i spent about an hour wandering around checking off things on my list; new faucet for kitch sink, water filter for new faucet, new towel racks for guest head, new u bolts to hold engel down, batteries. i managed to get everything and then hiked down to the $ publico back to the marina. pretty convenient.
i met up with aimee as scheduled and picked up more boxes; custom tervis, shades for fwd cabin, and a few others. we discovered we even had time for a lunch stop before our 1pm meeting with immigration. of course after killing all our time aimee discovered she did not have the papers. so i blasted back 2 miles on the rocket dingy to recover them. we where 10 minutes late but fortunately it was the after lunch time slot so the workers where later!
we got yest another set of info on what forms need to be sent in and what we can and can not due during the process. looks like everything should work out and can apply for a work permit for aimee while waiting on the green card. we had extra time after this so aimee got us both signed up for hair cuts, the chick she got us was cute so i relented and got trimmed again.
by this point i was ready to get out of dodge again so after picking up the mirror i got the anchor up and got us under way. we finally lost out on the calm weather and had 20 kts of wind on the nose with white caps and waves breaking over the bow. fortunately we only had 5nm to go to make it to our favorite staging island for our jump to bvi. we will try to get up early and hope for a bit of calm for the 12nm jump back to usvi.
cheers
