so i managed to wake up at 5am just before the alarm and was rewarded by nicer conditions. still wind but swells down substantially. the moon was still up and close to full so i had no problem navigating around the mooring balls and out of the anchorage.
the plan had been to go back to peter island to install all the parts i had purchased at home depot but as i started on my kitchen sink project i discovered i was missing connectors so we decided to divert to nanny cay. we got in there at 830 and i went straight to the budget marine.
i did not find my part but found another local guy looking for something with the same tread. after a discussion about his problem we went back to the hotel where he was working and he pulled out his stash of fittings. after going through the pile of brass parts i was able to find exactly what i needed. i thanked him profusely and then headed back to palapa to complete the install. i did not have instructions so it took a couple tries to get all the parts in right but the new faucet was a great hit. i have had this on the list for 5 years but never got to it. i got a new water filter for it as well so we can get rid of the britta filter and make the quests feel happy about drinking tap water.
i also made contact with tom who was making progress on the new fiberglass table and confirmed marcello would be by tomorrow to work on the fiberglass on palapa. we may even get everything done on time!
don was having dinner with friends so aimee and i had a romantic dinner back at mulligans, still no ribs but the pizza is great!
cheers
