Day Two Underway Saints Islands – 8 July

Aimee got me up for watch at 4am. Up on deck the moon was full and sky clear with just a few squalls on the radar. i was happy to note that sunrise was at 550am and before long it was starting to get light. as the sun came up the winds started to lighten up and switch around, pushing us towards grenada (30nm away). they continued sto shift around all day and we just kept sailing where the pushed us. we changed plans about half a dozen times on where we where “going”.

finally around 3 pm they finally died of completely. we where about 15nm north of Saints Islands, part of france so we decided to “splurge” and spend the 20$ to motor the last 3 hours. it was worth it as we pulled into the lee of this little island a few hours before sunset. there where tons of free mooorings so we picked one up just astern of this mega cat.

i had a great view of the sunset while aimee made us dorado salad for dinner. keep forgetting to take the food pics!

tomorrow we will explore “town” and then hopefully make it down to dominica to meet up with seats and jen the next day.

Cheers, Roger
