as you can see from the last few posts we have been really getting the most out of the last few days and again run up against the jimmy buffet dogma “i cant run at this pace very long”. so today rather than leave first thing in the morning for our next destination we decided to take a day off and recover. aimee and i went to “town” about 20 meters from the moorings dock and got a new sim card (so yes you can call us again) and some veggies and eggs. i installed aimee’s new fan. this one has a gaurd and is a bit higher to prevent the “hair tangle” problem the previous one had. of course it is from china and not very high quality, the switch did not work initially and only after bending the contacts back and forth was i able to get it to work.
jen and siets did show up for happy hour but we managed to limit our selves to “one” happy hour drink ashore where we said good by to dave the owner of doolitles. he was nice enough to give jen and sietse a bunch of 5 gallon ice blocks so they will actually have refrigeration for a bit. back on palapa i made us dinner of stir fried green beens and rice. we did not have any teriyaki sauce so i had to make my own with soy, Vietnamese hot sauce and bbq sause. it was delicious except i made the mistake of using brown rice which apparently takes 3 times as long to cook and over powers the flavor of the stir fry!
yes we had another beutiful sunset to go with dinner!
