well today i decided to get going on the fridge phase 2 project. i had noticed that the fridge/freezer seemed to have a similar lack of ventilation. there was a grill behind the unit that apparently was designed to draw air into the fridge compartment. this was about 3 inches below the fan but even more importantly it was in a locker. this locker i use for tools and parts but it was designed...

So today i got going on the fridge insulation first thing. this was not too hard a job just had to cut the insulation panels for under the sink and secure them. i did this while we ran the engine. the good news is aimee is adapting well to doing yoga with the engine running at 1700 rpm.

Today started with an hour of running the motor at 1700 rpm to get 100amps out of the alternator. I can get more but i discovered the temp sensor had fallen off (or melted off) the balmar 150amp alternator. this is supposed to drop the alternator to 50% output when it gets too hot. without it running at max output with very low batteries i am worried i may fry it and then be really sol. i do...

This morning we headed around to prickly bay to check in and check out the budget marine. checkin was painless but cost 90EC for 30 days, not horrible but not great either. after checking in I cam back to palapa to give aimee a ride to the spa and to go to budget and start spending money!
