it was another dawn wake up and i dropped the mooring and got under way to head over to sophers hole to “practice” checking in. it was a nice motor along the shore of st johns where we need to spend some more time. the sophers hole customs was a bit more formal than our north sound friends but was painless. there was still nothing open for bfaast so aimee cooked while i took us around to cane garden bay.
we picked up a morring and where looking around for phone numbers for tom and maggie when tom apearied via dingy followed by maggie on a paddle board. after a few beers from the palapa beer cooler maggie invited us up for “brunch”. after a few pitcher’s of tom’s famous pain killers, eggs, caesar salad and talapia it was some how 430pm. we had to pick up don at trelis 2 hours away.
so much for our plan to get more work done on the boat while we waited in trellis. we anchored again just after sunset and i headed in for don. he was last off the flight with lots of lugage having got hit up for a 20$ customs “fee”. we headed out to palapa and unpacked all the goodies/projects. along with his windless we had a new stereo and a few other new parts for us.
we rallied for a few more rum and cokes before heading to bed with the cockpit full of boxes and bags and don who needs to reaclimate to the tropics again. we where going to take tom straight to his boat in nany cay tomorrow but it looks like this will be delayed.
cheers
roger
Way too much happiness going on over there. I thought you were stressed. Must be the painkillers.
