scotts final day – 15 nov 2013
so today was scotts last day in the bvi. we had tried unsuccessfully to talk him into staying a few days but alas he stuck to his guns. aimee and i got up bright and early to take a mass of laundry into leverick only to discover we where 5 minutes to late and all the machines where in use. fortunately aimee had reserved us our favorite spot on the dock so we brought palapa in for some tlc and provisioning. it is amazing how easy it is to dock with 4 crew that all know what they are doing, almost cheating! seth docked double D just after...

i was finally worn out this am so i/we decided to take it easy today relax, sort off. after bfast we moved palapa over to the fat virgin for lunch. aimee got to play with her camara stick again and take pictures of all of us. the fat virgin was nice but the roti was not as good as nanny cay, i think we are going to have to stick with the burger option here! after lunch we headed back to pick up a mooring right off the bitter end. i had vowed no exercise today but some how next thing i knew i was being towed behind burts dingy on this...

so we managed to get up early again move palapa down to a day mooring and i dropped everyone off on the beach for the bath event and then took the dingy back out to a dingy mooring. in the end i think the boat was moored closer than the dingy but i got some exercise swimming back and forth always good. scott led us on the baths tour pointing out the key things we need to show our guests. complete with the pool where he surprises his guests with champagne. true to form we had it poured and waiting when everyone crawled into the pool. after...

this boat show was even more of a wirr than the last. probably because we coupled meeting all these new friends with our existing nanny cay friends. we had tom and don stop by for happy hour almost every day. we had to kick them off a few times as they where not wearing proper boat show attire (ie shirt). tom had car issues so in addition to scott in the salon we had tom a few nights as well. in spite of this scott and i where up at dawn every morning polishing palapa up so by 8am we where ready to show. seth and jaimee came over one...

we headed over early from norman to watch/help don get coconutz hauled. we got there at 730am and he was already positioned in the travel lift for the pull. it was pretty uneventful other than having to turn around in the lift and later discovering the reason it was so difficult was that the guys who serviced his hydraulic steering got the rudders out of alignment so one was always facing out and the outer amidship when hard over. it is a good thing he got hauled before leaving the marina. it is always amazing to watch your home plucked...

yes roger can still cook! after another grueling day of projects we headed over to double d for my famous mac and cheese. and yes it involves bacon, apparently not enough as you can see seth has scarfed all his off the plate by this point. we followed the dinner up with lonesome saddle on the big screen tv on double d. was the first time i had seen this. dont think they could get away with making this movie today but could not stop laughing. watching movies on DD it is almost like being back in the real world. the cabin is the same size...

so just to keep things interesting scott arrived for the last day of the bvi boat show. this was another reason for having too much fun. it did not help he showed up the night of the 80’s party. by this point we had made some great new friends and spent the night dancing away to 80s music. somehow the caterers left without kicking everyone out so we found ourselves with the dj still going and a fully stocked self server bar. eventually we found ourselves back on palapa drinking more margaritas while scott skini dipped with darra off...
