trip 2 to vancouver, 9 – 19 aug 2013
so last day of the trial, after drinking the champagne aimee had got us at trader joes i had two choices: (1) fly back to Vancouver or (2) go straight back to palapa in Antigua. i was feeling pretty low after the trial and really wanted to be back in paradise but aimee had a wedding going in Vancouver the next week she wanted to show me off at and my last trip had been so amazing i decided to go with the Vancouver option. this time i had to pick up all the parts we where taking back from larry so customs was not such a breeze. there was no...

or why i will be turning in my US passport … so as many of you may remember or not back in 2007 we sold geotrax to 3si and a year later i set out on my trip around the world. we sold the company because we discovered our business partners had stollen 800k out of the company bank account and the only way to recover it was to sell the company and take the money out of their proceeds. we sold geotrax for 9m and our investors had invested 1m and loaned the company 1.6m. they owned 50% of the company so this gave them a return on their investment...

so having gotten back from china, i had a couple days before my next “event” in az so i decided to bop up to Vancouver to see amiee and her parents place. it was a last minute plan so i did not get confirmation back until i was on the plane that aimee and kristie would meet me. i got through customs in record time with no checked bags and beat my welcoming committee to the bar out side security. i had a few beers and then was suprised by not just kristy and aimee but seth as well. very strange to see them in this environment,...

as you may have read i and the former geotrax team have been working our butts off on a new product for bia-sport.com for almost a year. i had agreed to work even harder and push another china trip in before our lawsuit to keep the bia schedule from slipping. i had been working so hard i had gotten a bit behind on billing and when i got to the states this time a lot of warning bells started going off. rather than hiring a firmware guy to work for me my boss cheryl instead hired a firmware guy and a new mba to manage the firmware guy. she also...

the nice thing about being low on fuel is we “get” to sail more. we had a great sail down to jolly harbor. the cruising guide made it sound like this totally happening place but as we dingied in at sunset we could only see one bar open with a few people at it. we pulled up and discovered it was the place aimee was looking for, of course they had no food but we did get a decent burger around the corner. very chill place at least in off season. the next day we sailed again down to english harbor and anchored off this historic...

so we finally left north sound with relatively “settled” weather. this meant 15 knots on the nose and waves not usually breaking over the fordeck. i elected to not “top off” with fuel as i was ready to just get under way. this turned out to be a bit suboptimal as after 20 hours of motoring just after passing st barts it became clear we where not going to quite make it to barbuda or antigua. we made a u turn and anchored of st barts, we figured we would have not problem getting fuel as it is a mega yacht capitol. ...

well there has not been a lot of blog activity recently due to spending too much time interacting with the real world. will try to hit thi highlights of this in the next few posts and catch everyone up. here is the last event we had with don in northsound. we had hoped to repeat this with the slappers on our new “palapa” beach but alas our schedules did not work out with me needing to get to antigua for another flight to china and the slappers being too popular to get any time off from chartering you can see me sporting short...

After many months in Puerto Rico it was time to head back BVI’s for a couple reasons. A visit w/ the parents and a visit with the Slappers who have been working their tails off at Moorings. We decided to go all the way up to our fave North Sound… Went to Leverik on arrival for some wifi and work but pulled up anchor end of day to hit our fave Saba Happy Hour and Cracked...
