this morning we started or stcw (a qual you need to work as professional crew on a ship) but before we got to that i had to finish the geneset fix.
fortunately last night after happy hour while aimee was working on her day job i rebuilt the water pump. i must say i am getting pretty good at this, minimal injuries and i was able to pull the shaft and replace both seals. the reinstallation seemed to go smoothly but alas i did not get it in far enough to engage, then i sprayed oil on myself when i cranked it with the pump out, then i forgot to open the thru hull. i finally got everything running and all the salt rinsed off everything. will leave it running open for a few days to see what happens.
