No Dinner in France – 2 july

so today the plan was to head into our favorite restaurant for a grouper sandwich. unfortunately we realized they had mentioned they where closed on mondays. undeterred we decided to head back to the naked bar. this was a good call as most everything on the non-naked side of the beach was closed at 10am. after waiting 2 hours for the kitchen to open we shared a burger at the naked bar and had just enough money left for a rum and coke before swimming out to a little floating platform where we brainstormed about business ideas. its looking more and more like aimee is going to have to focus more on providing the “content” for our next web venture.

aimee was really excited about trying snails for an afternoon snack so after a shower break on palapa we headed back to the clothing side of the beach. alas it was after 1pm and no place had any food. apparently the french only eat between noon and 1 pm, no wonder they are all thin! we headed back to the bikini beach bar where supposedly there where restaurants. we even found some but alas at 4pm there was still no food not even at the pizza place which was closed for the day. we did not have enough money to keep drinking until the kitchens opened at 7 so after a few beers we headed back to palapa for aimee pizza. alas i failed to take a photo but stay tuned for more food shots now that we are done with our fast.

Cheers Roger

  1. Hello Nudes!

    plans changed?
i guess the winds must have been in favor again!

But if you guys had enough of all those overdeveloped, overrun by charter boats and touristy island and Boeing and Airbusses flying straight over your head every hour then come to…

    Dominica:

The only true natural island left in the Caribbean.
With normal people running normal lifes, selling normal fruit and veggies for normal prices that haven’t been refrigerated.
Where the locals offer you rides to where ever you wanna go incl. free herbs (in my case).

Not the safest place to be for a hurricane though. but the anchorage in Prince rupert bay is safe & sound.

ooh did i mention free internet yet?

    See you soon!

    • hi kids, good to here from you, we may head your way we are only 180nm away but would need to NE winds to get there. we also need to get some bottom paint and our outboard fixed here.

      cheers r&a
