Relaxing in Saints Island – 9 July

We awoke early to winds blowing out of the south, into our anchorage. I was glad we had decided not to head south today and wasted no time dropping the mooring and heading for the more sheltered part of the bay off the “main town”. we tried the “yacht club” first but this seemed to have seen better days with no dock and no wifi regardless of what the cruising guide said.

we ended up picking up another mooring off this little “ship bow” looking place (we found out later it is a Dr office). we spent the day catching up on work and the blog. i had two fun lawyer calls for a total of 3 hours. one call with 2 lawyers and on “expert” yikes. we took a tour of the island and where going to head to shore in the afternoon for happy hour but the 2 hour call at 430 put a stop to that. probably just as well we stayed on palapa for a delicious backed Brussels sprout dinner. again no photo.

this place is really beutiful but pretty deserted the water is amazing. we will ahve to some back some time and explore more but tomorrow am we are going to take advantage of some forecast winds out of the east to head down to Dominica before the winds shift around to the south again.
