so this morning just after sun rise we motored over from the “cannery” to the town so i could get wifi while aimee did yoga. after yoga the town was not looking super exciting to me so i stayed on palapa to work while aimee headed ashore to explore. she found the market and got us some soup ingredients among other things. we had decent internet so we decided to chill and get some work done. i got a few blogs up and aimee did some more work on my new website.
around 3pm we where kind of done working, we had started at 6am. it looked like we could just make it the 12 nm to fort de france where the Bastille day “festivities” where taking place tomorrow before dark so we got the anchor up and got under way. we had a soup and garlic bread dinner under way which was very good. i had a bit too much soup, who would have guessed you could over eat on soup, but i did!
as you can see from the photo’s we just got in as the sun was setting. we anchored just a 100nm off this very nice dock/park and aimee got a bunch off cool pictures. it was kind of neat to be “in” a “city” again with all the honking and sirens. just about the time we went to bed a band kicked off but we did not quite have the energy to go out and party with the french! we will see what tomorrow brings.
Cheers, Roger
