sunrise in the cruise terminal – 9 oct 2013

so aimee dragged me out of bed this am to watch the sunrise. it is one of our “anniversaries” 2 years, who would have guessed! we enjoyed coffee and vitamin drink while waiting on the sun. it took a but longer as we had a mountain in the way but eventually we got our sunrise!

shortly after the sun, i looked off the stern and saw the massive disney cruise ship pulling into the dock 50 meters away. it was massive and dwarfed everything. when its bow thrusters kicked in it pushed us off our dock, fortunately our lines where properly secured and it was pushing us off not into the dock!

we had another productive project day with aimee finishing the topside of the boat and i finishing up most of my projects including adding the pull ring to the table. we got a quote back for redoing the table for $3700, yikes! so i think we will be trying to fiberglass the top with the help from our friend tom over in the bvi. i also got all new led lights installed in the main cabin.

we started talking to the women at the local provisioning store about what all aimee can order (basically anything) somehow we got onto caviar which apparently is the one thing they can not easily get. this made me hungry so while i headed over to mark’s boat net door for beers aimee headed out to get us a baguette for another bottel of caviar. this was the red very good with butter on toasted baguette! will need to go back to st martine or st barts after all.

cheers,
Roger
