so having gotten back from china, i had a couple days before my next “event” in az so i decided to bop up to Vancouver to see amiee and her parents place. it was a last minute plan so i did not get confirmation back until i was on the plane that aimee and kristie would meet me. i got through customs in record time with no checked bags and beat my welcoming committee to the bar out side security. i had a few beers and then was suprised by not just kristy and aimee but seth as well. very strange to see them in this environment, kind of like fish out of water, no pun intended! we had a night out with seth and christie on the waterfront and then aimee’s mom came to pick us up for the ferry ride to seashelt. of course we missed the ferry and had to wait in line for the next one but i got a chance to meet matt and cherie and have a few beers while we waited. it was george’s birthday and apparently i was the surprise, and he was surprised!! we had a great bbq in perfect warm weather with sun until past 8pm. got to meet and entertain all the friends and relatives, i think i did a pretty good job but it was hard work! the next morning i got a seaplane flight to the main airport for my flight to az. not a bad gig, perhaps i will even comeback if the weather is the same 🙂 cheers, Roger
