Under way to Bequia – 19 july

last night we had a TON of rain. very nice to clean the boat out but so much our various window leaks all kicked in getting a variety of things wet. we also ot hammered again by mosi’s. this is a new deadly and super small super fast type. aimee killed one but another terrorized us all night preventing much sleep. i got up before dawn to get us under way but of course it was raining again by the time i was pulling the anchor up.

we had a bit of a motor in the lee of st lucia but just as we caught up to waka iere we got wind. we where able to take a bunch of under way photo’s of each other before we accelerated out in front. we had several groups of dolphins today and sitese managed to get a shot of one jumping clear out of the water with palapa in the background, very nice!

we had a great sail with only a couple hours of motoring in the lee of st lucia and managed to get into bequia just before sunset. while aimee was making dinner we got a call from waka irea that they expected to make land fall at midnight. the main reason for our stop here is to get propane so i am hopping we can get this done and get out of here first thing sat am.

cheers, roger
